MEIWITA Chapter 602: Wu Nuan

Lou Mu Yan’s eyes were shut tightly. She used her mental energy to probe the insides of her body.

Her dan’tian was a mess, her aura was disorderly, and her inner organs were also seriously injured. Not even a trace of spiritual energy could be mobilised. Fortunately, the green sea of fog was frantically repairing her dan’tian and meridians.

She still had lingering fears when she recalled the scene in the spatial rift. After being forced to advance and breakthrough Sword Deity, the spatial law of the two worlds descended automatically, and she was swept away by the power of the laws to Guang’ling World.

Who knew that the black glass bead activated by Ling Qiu actually entered that spatial rift and exploded beside her. That force not only changed the nodes in space, but also made her suffer from spatial turbulence, causing her severe injuries after leaving the interface.

She noted this account deeply in her heart. In the future, she’d definitely find the main body of the Third Holy Maiden to receive the repayment.

If she hadn’t cultivated the Sorcerer’s Skill, making her physical body very tough, she might’ve been torn apart by the turbulent flow of space the moment she entered Guang’ling World.

Such sequelae also caused her body to no longer be able to bear the injuries and she passed out. Fortunately, her mental energy was no longer suppressed after reaching Guang’ling World, so although her body was in a comatose state, but she was conscious.

However, after experiencing this turbulent spatial storm, she found that her state of mind was sublimated, and the curse that had been restraining her had completely disappeared.

Ever since she died in a spatial storm in her previous life, there were actually some shadows that lingered in her heart, but after experiencing this incident, the knot in her heart was completely untied.

The benefits of cultivating the Sorcerer’s Skill were also reflected in such a harsh environment. As long as her skill advanced further, not only would she no longer have to be afraid of being slaughtered by the turbulent flow of space, but she could even walk in spatial rifts as she wanted.

Therefore, it was said that misfortunes were where blessings rest, and blessings were where misfortune laid!

Before the carriage arrived, her mental energy had already detected the other party. Although she couldn’t move her body, and her spirit pets were locked in the Divine Tool bells and couldn’t come out, but Jun Luo Chen in the pendant could still move freely.

Therefore, she wasn’t afraid that the people in the carriage would mistreat her or rob her.

One was that all the important things on her had been tossed into the Divine Tool bells. Without her spiritual energy and soul energy, others couldn’t open it. And two, the highest cultivation base among this group of people was only Sword Monarch. Jun Luo Chen could annihilate them without even coming out of the pendant.

As long as these people had any evil intentions, she could have Jun Luo Chen act, but she never thought that someone in this group of people would save her.

She prepared to slowly recuperate here. After all, she knew nothing about Guang’ling World. She could feel that the woman who saved her didn’t have any malicious intentions—she just couldn’t do something like not helping someone in danger.

The carriage kept moving forward and after a long time, the young man asked the woman in yellow: “Eldest Sister, is she a Sword Master or an ordinary human?”

The ‘she’ he mentioned naturally referred to Lou Mu Yan.

The yellow-clothed woman replied: “She should be a Sword Master, but her dan’tian is seriously injured and messed up this time, so I can’t tell her cultivation base.”

“Dan’tian is seriously injured? Then doesn’t that mean she’s become a cripple?” The pink-clothed woman furrowed her brows and looked at the yellow-clothed woman with displeasure: “Big Sister, I really don’t understand why you saved someone who’s about to be crippled and even feed her a Force Nourishing Pill. How wasteful.”

“Wu Ya, this is my business, so you don’t need to worry about it.” The yellow-clothed woman furrowed her brows slightly and said with slight displeasure.

This younger half-sister from a different mother had never liked her since she was a child and always targeted her everywhere. If it weren’t because she had the talent of an alchemist—and was now a grade 2 alchemist and a physician—the clan probably would’ve given her up long ago.

She only rescued one person yet everyone, except the First Elder and her younger step-brother, didn’t like her. It’d be a lie to say she wasn’t heartbroken.

Even a clay figurine of a monk had some temper1, not to mention that she usually just didn’t say anything, but she understood everything in her heart. Just because she was lazy to confront these people didn’t mean that she could let others control her.

Wu Ya sneered and said with ridicule: “Big Sister, don’t forget the important task of our trip this time. If you drag down the family by bringing a piece of trash, after we return, even I’ll worry how you’ll explain to dad.”

“This is my business, so you don’t have to worry about it.” Wu Nuan replied lightly.

“Humph.” Wu Ya snorted coldly and turned her head to the side, “Whatever you want!”

The space in the carriage quickly became quiet again. After journeying about half a day, the sky gradually darkened.

“Mm!” Lou Mu Yan felt that her body could now move, and the released divine sense instantly returned.

She slowly opened her eyes and immediately met a pair of clear and bright pupils.

“You’re awake?” Wu Nuan asked warmly.

Just as Lou Mu Yan was about to speak, her lungs suddenly felt discomfort, and she coughed uncontrollably for a while. Wu Nuan took out a water bag and helped feed her a few mouthfuls.

It had been a long time since she felt so powerless, unable to use her spiritual energy, and her entire body hurt like a mortal. Although the green mist was repairing her dan’tian, but the injury was too serious this time, so it’d take at least until tomorrow to recover a bit.

Most importantly was that she couldn’t use her spiritual energy. She couldn’t even open the bell space and the interspatial ring on her hand, and she couldn’t take out the high-grade pills to recover her injuries for the time being either.

“Thank you!” Lou Mu Yan’s voice was extremely hoarse.

Wu Nuan was wearing a veil that covered half her face. Although she couldn’t see the expression on her face, but her eyes conveyed a very warm feeling.

“The internal injuries in your body are very serious. I fed you a pill, but it couldn’t heal you completely because of its low level. You still need to take some good rest for now.”

Lou Mu Yan exhaled slowly, smiled, and said: “Thank you for saving me!”

“You’re welcome, it’s just a simple matter.” Wu Nuan said with a faint smile.

“Ha, a simple matter, but aren’t you still using the clan’s carriage.” Wu Ya pouted her lips and said with ridicule.

Wu Nuan furrowed her brows and ignored her, then looked at Lou Mu Yan and asked: “Young Miss, do you have any family members? If so, I’ll help you send a letter back.”

She kept a lark that was specially used to send messages, and she could send them as long as the distance wasn’t too far.

“I separated from my family, and I don’t know where they are now either.” Lou Mu Yan’s expression darkened.

She really didn’t know where her mother and Ming Xiu were. Ming Xiu was going to tell her about his identity on Guang’ling World before, but it was interrupted by the sudden war. Who would’ve thought that they’d be temporarily separated so soon.

She wondered if Ming Xiu had ascended to Guang’ling World or not. The Lou relatives and her Master should know about her ascension by now right?

Wu Nuan was taken aback, “It’s fine, then you can recuperate here first.”

Seeing that Wu Ya was about to speak again, Wu Nuan immediately said to her: “I’ll tell First Elder, you don’t have to worry about this.”

Wu Ya glared at her, but stopped talking, her expression very ugly.

Neither Lou Mu Yan nor Wu Nuan bothered to talk to her.

“Then excuse me!” Lou Mu Yan smiled at Wu Nuan.

It was inevitable for her to stay here to recover from her injuries. At the very least, she must be able to re-mobilise some bit of spiritual energy to open the bell space and release her spirit pets.

Wu Nuan made her feel very comfortable. She didn’t know what this woman with such a clear mind experienced, to actually have her appearance completely ruined.

With her mental energy, she could naturally find that the face under the veil was full of scars.

Random Note/Update: Tried on a kimono this time!!! I seem to gravitate towards blue hahaha. Well, I originally picked some other purple/pink coloured ones but the sizes were too small. But that was a good thing because there were soooooo many absolutely gorgeous kimonos that I didn’t know which one to choose. Being only able to choose from the larger section actually worked to my favour (both when I wore the hanbok and now this kimono) since it limits down the fabulous options, and luckily had colours that suited me and that I liked. I have to say, kimono-wearing is a rather complex process…

I also went to watch the Tensura movie! First time in a Japanese cinema, it was somewhat exciting. It was a small cinema but enjoyable nonetheless. I’m definitely going to watch Tensura again when it comes out subbed in Australia, but it’ll take a few months until it comes out, most likely. Luckily I understood 70-80% of the movie in Jap so it was an enjoyable watch!

Also, I went back to find my yukata photo when I came to Japan for the first time and realised it was blue as well! I mean it is a favourite colour of mine but I didn’t think it’d all be blue (my hanfu too, although that was on purpose since I liked the colour and style…). Anyways here’s the yukata one~ (It wasn’t a very ‘formal’ experience, the capsule hotel I stayed at gave a lot of additional services, including this and a free experience of cooking takoyaki ourselves. I happened to arrive in time for the Gion Matsuri too! Unfortunately the place is permanently closed now, probably due to the closing of borders. This was back in 2019. It was the best memory I’ve had in Japan tbh. They were so hospitable and kind.)

  1. It is “green sea” not “greens sea” at start: “sequelae” not “sequalae” – I had to look this one up…. Tough word…. I challenge everyone to use it in a sentence today!

Your efforts are enjoyed! Many times better than mtl!

  2. The kimono is soooo pretty! 😍 The yukata is also good. Although I almost mistakenly saw the print as colorful watermelons candies (thank God the picture is clear on my phone and I took the second look 😅), I bet I’ll love it if the yukata were in front of me. I love the colors scheme of both. Any gradations of blue are actually my favourite colors. Sadly, my skin tone isn’t suitable for “cold” colors. 🥲😅 (The picture are clear in this post. So I can join in the fun of appreciating the pretty clothes. 😆😅)
