MEIWITA Chapter 750: Trap

Lou Mu Yan and the others put on the Invisibility Talisman and quickly entered the torn restriction crack. It took only a moment for the crack to close again, but it also caused a little fluctuation.

Soon, a team of half-human, half-demon guards on shift quickly ran over.

“Captain, the restriction here seemed to have fluctuated just now.” A guard said to a tall and burly sphinx.

The sphinx furrowed his brows and looked around, saying: “I’m going to report to the First Commander, you stay here and watch carefully.”

“Yes.”

The intelligence of the natives here weren’t low. Although the restriction fluctuated only a bit and may have nothing to do with enemies, but it was still reported up layer after layer.

A middle-aged man sat cross-legged on a stone pillar in the centre of an altar built underground the island with several tail feathers and wings growing behind him.

“King, the restrictions around the island fluctuated a bit earlier, but no enemy attack was detected.” A ghost-like shadow knelt on the ground and reported respectfully.

Hearing the report from the person below, the middle-aged man slowly opened his eyes, his gaze distant, “What should come will still come. You can go.”

“As ordered.”

After the shadow left, the middle-aged man’s eyes revealed a bit of madness with a sense as if he had experienced the vicissitudes of life. Then it soon calmed, and he closed his eyes again.

Lou Mu Yan and the others snuck along with the Invisibility Talisman and discovered that the lair of the natives was very similar to the ethnic clans and tribes of humans, one village after another.

The several people weren’t in a hurry either. They didn’t make any movements after sneaking in, and they kept looking around from time to time.

Meanwhile the members of the Lan Clan and the group of black-cloaked people eventually met.

But there was no conflict, and they were just calculating how to pass through the restriction and enter the island.

Time passed bit by bit. Lou Mu Yan and the others hid for ten days already.

Suddenly one day, the village became lively.

“Issuing Heaven Crystals.” With an excited voice, the other natives knelt down and bowed towards the centre of the island.

Afterwards, several pairs of guards carried plates of bright, clean, and transparent stones, distributing them to the people in the village.

Lou Mu Yan discovered that those transparent stones actually contained a kind of energy, which seemed to be able to attract the surrounding elemental fluctuations.

“That should be the secret to why these natives can comprehend the elements so profoundly.” She telepathically said.

“The transparent stone contains the power of the elemental laws.” Ming Xiu said: “No wonder these natives have high cultivation and comprehension, but their combat isn’t that strong. They should be relying too much on these stones.”

“This is a big secret related to the survival of these natives.” Lou Mu Bai said faintly.

If it weren’t for these transparent stones that allowed the natives to comprehend the elemental laws of heaven and earth, not to mention the human Sword Masters who entered Cang’lan Secret Realm each time, even the demonic beasts formed in this Secret Realm could’ve annihilated them.

“Each time the Cang’lan Secret Realm is opened, someone will receive the mission of investigating, but no one could complete it. I didn’t expect their secrets to be these inconspicuous stones.” An envoy behind Su Jin said.

Another person said: “The reason why we were able to discover their secret so effortlessly and quietly is entirely due to Young Miss Lou’s Invisibility Talismans. Those who came to investigate the news before all used brute force to enter, so naturally they couldn’t get a glimpse of such a secret.”

Others also thought the same way. After all, using brute force to enter would make the natives hide these mysterious stones, so how could it be possible for humans to discover such a major secret.

Most importantly was that the people who used brute force to enter wouldn’t be able to enter deep into the centre of the island before being driven out or killed by the natives, so it also proved that Lou Mu Yan’s Invisibility Talismans were very useful.

[BOOM!] Not long after the natives knelt down and received the transparent stones, there were a few earth-piecing noises from the distant island.

“Someone forcibly broke the restriction.” Ming Xiu raised an eyebrow and said.

The natural restrictions used by the natives were actually not very high-level, but once the restrictions break, it’d be discovered, so it’d become very troublesome. The restriction didn’t have much of a defensive effect, the focus was on warning.

“This is also our chance.” Lou Mu Yan smiled.

The natives were basically all going to leave to attack the outsiders, which was the best chance for them to sneak into the centre of the island.

“Let’s go.” Lou Mu Bai nodded to the several people.

The group quickly headed towards the centre of the island, and after entering a stone house, Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu discovered a secret array.

So they teamed up to break the array, and a dark entrance immediately appeared on the ground of the stone house.

Without hesitation, they each put on a grade 8 defensive array ball given by Lou Mu Yan and entered.

On the other side, the Lan Clan cooperated with the mysterious men in black, broke the restrictions, killed the guards who were guarding, and each dispersed and ran into the island with their own abilities.

Those who could enter here naturally had their own secret techniques, with some who could hide their auras, those who could lurk and such, leaving the natives in chaos.

Lou Mu Yan and her party walked down the passage and slowly towards an altar.

When they discovered a man sitting cross-legged on the central pillar of the altar, with his aura restrained and looking like a mortal, they knew that the real trouble was coming.

The middle-aged man slowly opened his eyes and looked at the place where Lou Mu Yan and the others entered with a dull gaze.

“You’ve all arrived, how slow.” The man’s voice didn’t fluctuate much, but it seemed that he had been waiting for a while.

Lou Mu Yan and the others were still wearing the Invisibility Talismans, but they were seen through by the man.

Ming Xiu tore off the Invisibility Talisman and looked at the middle-aged man on the pillar with deep eyes, “I didn’t expect this native’s tribe to hide a powerhouse at Upper Unification Realm.”

Lou Mu Yan and the others also revealed themselves one after another. They were already enveloped by the middle-aged man’s domain right now, and the Invisibility Talisman was useless.

She looked around and discovered that there were piles of transparent stones placed directly under the altar, and the entire altar exuded a strong elemental aura.

She sensitively discovered that there seemed to be something hidden in the piles of transparent stones that even caused her to be attracted to it.

But now wasn’t the time to act rashly. They now had to find a way to deal with this mysterious native King.

“You already knew we were lurking right.” Earlier, she had felt that they seemed to be wandering around far too easily—so it turned out that this was what was waiting for them.

This should be a trap that had been carefully laid out for a very long time.

A sense of heart palpitations and a chill rose in her heart. She felt a threat to her life.

A pair of large, warm hands held her, and the heat made Lou Mu Yan’s somewhat fazed heart instantly settle down.

She turned her head and looked up at Ming Xiu, only to see a firm look in his eyes.

He said: “Yan’er, you have me.”

His words warmed her slightly chilled heart affected by the opponent’s domain. She smiled brilliantly, and held Ming Xiu’s hands back, “You also have me.”

The native King sitting cross-legged on the pillars didn’t act immediately but instead swept them up and down with his gaze as if a cat catching mice.

The several people were trapped in the domain and were temporarily unable to resist.

A day later, the members of the Lan Clan and the group of mysterious, black-cloaked men were also deliberately allowed to find the altar.
