MEIWITA Chapter 780: Little Fox is Going to Play Tricks Again

The Seastar Banquet was originally held around the communication between large clans and forces, but now, everyone’s attention was focused on Lan Si and Lou Mu Yan.

Lan Si didn’t care about other people’s gazes and opinions. He was an existence that could never be questioned in the Southern Sea.

Lou Mu Yan was even more so a person who didn’t care about other people’s opinions. Right now, she was only thinking about how to extort more good things from Lan Si so that she could be more confident when she went to the Foreign Battlefield.

Of course, she wouldn’t be so unconscientious as to think that Lan Si’s indulgence and defensive attitude towards her was only a matter of course. She would keep his kindness in her heart and repay him when he needed it.

“Little Yan’er, let’s clear the things on this jade slip that this King owes first.” Lan Si said while playing with the jade slip.

Lou Mu Yan nodded, blinked, and continued roguishly: “Sure! After clearing the debt on the jade slip, we can talk about other things.”

Lan Si chuckled and handed the jade slip to a close attendant behind him, “Go to this King’s private treasury and take out everything on the jade slip.”

Then he thought for a bit, and teased Lou Mu Yan: “Little Yan’er, you said at the auction that you were so poor that you only had spiritual stones left. Does that mean that the spiritual stones on the jade slip need not be given to you?”

Lou Mu Yan twitched the corner of her lips—was she picking up a rock and dropping it on her own foot?

“Well, I just said that simply because I wanted to overwhelm the Second Princes in terms of power.” Lou Mu Yan pretended to be pitiful and innocent, “You already know I’m the poorest Sword Master.”

She was indeed very poor when needing to raise so many spirit pets before she dug up so many spiritual veins.

“…” Hearing her words, people from all the major clans present had the urge to vomit blood.

This damned girl was actually screaming poor. Who was it who snatched more than one third of the treasures at the Royal Auction at a high price. That appearance was as arrogant as one could be, and as rich as one could be.

Yet now she was actually so shameless to pretend to be poor just to extort their King’s spiritual stones—how unashamed.

“Really?” Lan Si said with a half-smile: “Why does this King remember that Little Yan’er was the haughtiest one at the auction?”

“Hehe.” Lou Mu Yan smiled cheekily with slight embarrassment: “I was so haughty that I squandered all the spiritual stones.”

Then she changed the topic and said: “Of course, if you don’t give spiritual stones, that’s fine, just give me some level 9 spiritual herbs and materials for grade 9 arrays, talismans, and smithing.”

These grade 9 materials are what she lacked most right now.

She had already stepped into the ranks of a grade 9 alchemist in terms of perception and experience, but she had not begun to refine it herself due to the lack of spiritual herbs.

If she could get more grade 9 spiritual herbs from Lan Si, then she could refine more grade 9 pills and bring them to the Foreign Battlefield to use, or boost her initial-level grade 9 strength.

“…” Right now, the superiors of the sea race even felt pain in both their hearts and lungs.

Did this damned girl think that level 9 spiritual herbs and grade 9 materials were sold everywhere on the streets? How shameless. If this continued, their King would be drained dry.

“Little Yan’er, your specialisation grades have all reached grade 9?” Lan Si asked in slight surprise.

Only how old was this girl? Wasn’t the speed in her cultivating the specialisations too Heaven-defying.

Lou Mu Yan didn’t hide it either, “I feel like my alchemy has almost reached grade 9, and the other specialisations will soon too, so I need spiritual herbs and materials to improve my grade.”

When Lan Si was about to speak, a Royal Elder of the sea race immediately popped out and said with a smile on his face: “It is correct for young people to pursue strength, but they must also do only what they can, be diligent and frugal, and not take things that would only be wasted.”

Humph, this damned girl sure wasn’t afraid that she’d strain her tongue from telling such lies—her alchemist skill has almost reached grade 9? Did she think that grade 9 alchemists were as common as cabbages?

After the Royal Elder finished speaking, he even went beside Lan Si and sniffed his aura. When he discovered it was indeed their Highness, he even felt like crying to death in the hall.

How could their usually wise and powerful King be so fascinated by this damned girl?

“Elder is questioning my ability?” Lou Mu Yan raised an eyebrow and looked at the elderly man that popped out.

The First Elder puffed out his chest and said: “I just hope that you young people will be more down-to-earth, there is no intent of questioning you.”

What a joke, this damned girl was a woman that King defended. If he denied this girl, then wouldn’t it be indirectly repudiating their King’s eyesight.

Lou Mu Yan lowered her gaze to hide the cunning light in her eyes, then raised her head and said with a smile: “Then how about we bet?”

The moment Lan Si saw such an expression on Lou Mu Yan, he knew that Little Fox was going to play tricks again, but he had no intention of stopping it. Those old things who wanted to interfere with his affairs all day long should deserve a bit of a beating.

The only thing that could mentally attack these old men the most would be nothing else but making them ‘bleed’ profusely—it’d absolutely pain their hearts to death.

“What are we betting on?” First Elder looked at Lou Mu Yan warily—he knew that this damned girl was very cunning.

“Bet on whether I can refine a grade 9 pill.” Lou Mu Yan said with a smile: “If I can refine the grade 9 pill, then you lot will lose to me fifty level 9 spiritual herbs.

“Of course, the ones from your King don’t count.” What she liked the most was winning things.

The First Elder furrowed his brows seeing her confident manner, then turned to look at the other Elders.

The several people discussed through telepathy, then the First Elder said: “Sure, this old man promises you, but if you lose, you are not allowed to ask our King for anything, and you will immediately get up tomorrow and leave the Southern Sea.”

It was better for this damned girl to leave the Southern Sea early, otherwise if their King was enchanted again and took out the treasured possessions to give to her, then their hearts would be in so much pain they’d die.

Fifty grade 9 spiritual herbs could barely be gathered if them old fellows took out their collections. Most importantly was that none of them believed that Lou Mu Yan could refine grade 9 pills, so they agreed very readily.

Lou Mu Yan understood now—these Elders of the sea race didn’t possess much malice towards her, but they were very stingy. Although they weren’t qualified to take Lan Si’s things either, but their heart ached seeing him take it out to give away.

To deal with such people, one must utterly convince them. It was best to let them ‘bleed’ once, so that they’d remember it for a long time.

“Sure!”

Lan Si hooked his lips up, then immediately ordered someone to prepare the spiritual herbs that Lou Mu Yan needed to refine grade 9 pills.

After the spiritual herbs were delivered to the main hall, everyone gathered together to watch how Lou Mu Yan would refine the grade 9 pills.

Several grade 8 and grade 9 alchemists who didn’t originally come to participate in the Seastar Banquet also rushed over.

Although they didn’t believe that a girl in her twenties could refine grade 9 pills, but they couldn’t stop their curiosity.

Without delay, Lou Mu Yan took out the Seven-Coloured Glazed Cauldron and began to refine the pills.

This time, she didn’t toss all the spiritual herbs into the alchemy cauldron together, and instead, refined them one by one.

This was the first time for her to refine grade 9 pills, so it was better to be on the safe side. It’d be too wasteful if she ruined the grade 9 spiritual herbs.

Everyone watched her refine pills with a serious expression, movements like floating clouds and flowing water, and were subconsciously attracted. In particular, the Alchemists of the sea race stared at her without even blinking.

Four hours later, several thunderclaps suddenly sounded above the main hall of the Imperial Palace.

“Alchemy Tribulation, this is the Alchemy Tribulation for grade 9 pills that are about to take shape.” A sea race grade 9 alchemist exclaimed.

  1. The poor girl will be bored once she’ll reach the pinnacle of the strength, since there won’t be people left who’ll be willing to bet with or try to rob her :’)

😌 Considering how big their power-gap was, I don’t think LS would need LMY’s help. She might be able to brew him some highest level spiritual wine or to refine some highest level pills and magic tools (something like 10th grade?) in the future. She might not do it as many times as she does for her other teachers. She might even ask high payment too to make it for him. But, even if it’s just her intention (with that line) without much real action, I can finally rest my heart.
