MEIWITA Chapter 964: Extra: Immortal World (Twenty-One)

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su was a casual person who didn’t like to observe etiquette and restraint, so he treated his friends and juniors the same way.

If Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu changed their attitudes after knowing his identity and became restrained and flattering or deliberately distant, then his liking and respect for them would also diminish.

There weren’t many juniors that he could value over the years. Fortunately, neither Lou Mu Yan nor Ming Xiu let him down.

“Ancestor is overpraising!” Lou Mu Yan smiled humbly.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su took a sip of the tea handed over by Lou Mu Yan, “From now on, call me Ancestor Grandpa like Mu Lan.”

From the first time he met Lou Mu Yan, he knew that this girl was a bloodline of the Lou Clan, and she was also his direct bloodline. He was very happy that his descendant from the lower interface could ascend to the upper interface.

“Sure!” Lou Mu Yan smiled and addressed: “Ancestor Grandpa!”

“Ancestor Grandpa!” Ming Xiu was Lou Mu Yan’s husband, so he naturally followed suit.

“Little girl is just so loveable!” Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su took out two interspatial rings and handed them to the two of them, then he looked at Ming Xiu and said: “Stinky brat is also pretty good.”

“Is this a meeting gift for us?” Lou Mu Yan played with the ring without examining the contents and asked with a smile.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su looked at her in amusement and said: “Yeah! You’re such a money-lover, as your Ancestor Grandpa, if I don’t give you a meeting gift, who knows how you’ll insult me in your heart.”

“No, the most I’ll do is silently scold you for being stingy.” Lou Mu Yan shrugged and joked.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su rolled his eyes at her, “A money-grubber as expected.”

The two of them put the rings away without being polite. It was a gift from their elders and shouldn’t be rejected, and what the other party gave them definitely wouldn’t be bad.

“Ancestor Grandpa, this is the spiritual wine I brewed with the essence of a demonic vine from the small spiritual world, have a taste.” Lou Mu Yan took out a pot of spiritual wine and poured a cup for Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su, “Originally, after returning to Peng Ying Island, I was going to give this wine to you, but who knew that you went missing.”

What she said wasn’t a lie. She had indeed prepared this spiritual wine for the sloppy old man avatar of Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su, as a way of repaying his grace of giving them the iron piece.

They just didn’t expect things to take such a turn.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su had always been fond of spiritual wine. Although the grade of the spiritual wine brewed by Lou Mu Yan was a bit inferior, but the taste and mellowness were so good that he always felt an endless aftertaste and preferred it to the divine grade spiritual wine.

He took the cup and took a sip, and his wise eyes brightened even more, “Good wine. Little girl, you’re truly talented in brewing wine. How long has it only been, and you can already brew a third-class holy grade spiritual wine.”

Lou Mu Yan didn’t have any advanced-level wine-brewing recipes, he knew that. The spiritual wine brewed now must be self-made. It tasted more mellow and had an endless aftertaste compared to all the advanced-level spiritual wines brewed from demonic vine essence that he had tasted.

“If Ancestor Grandpa, you, contribute some more advanced-level spiritual wine recipes, then maybe it won’t be long before you can drink fourth-class holy grade spiritual wine, or even fifth-class holy grade, or divine grade spiritual wine.” Lou Mu Yan’s confidence flew and was extorting blatantly.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su glared at her without a good attitude, “You little fox so diligently delivered wine, so you’re waiting for me here with this trap.”

“How could that be, if you always appeared with the stinky old man’s identity, then this spiritual wine is just simple filial piety and repayment.” Lou Mu Yan said with a meaningful smile: “But now that I know your identity, I naturally can’t let it go.”

Her philosophy was to show no mercy when it was time to extort.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su knew what she meant by filial piety and repayment, and there was a bit more of a smile in his eyes.

As expected, these two little fellows found and opened the ruins of the Ancient Cultivator’s cave in the small spiritual world and once more didn’t disappoint him.

“Don’t worry, I’ve already sent people to search for advanced-level spiritual wine recipes.”

Lou Mu Yan chuckled mischievously and said: “Ancestor Grandpa is the best!”

“Little girl only knows how to coax people.” Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su said with dislike, but the smile in his eyes grew deeper.

Lou Mu Lan didn’t expect that the three of them had known each other before. Seeing Lou Mu Yan two meeting so harmoniously with Ancestor, he was happy and also relieved.

“By the way, Ancestor Grandpa, how come you were the manager of the caves on Peng Ying Island?” Lou Mu Yan asked curiously.

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su took a sip of wine, chuckled, and clarified her confusion, “Peng Ying Island was originally founded by me, so one of my avatars remained there.”

Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu once again had shocked looks in their eyes. This time, even Lou Mu Lan was surprised. None of the three expected that Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su was actually the founder of Peng Ying Island.

“So you’re always ‘pretending to be a pig to eat the tiger’.” Lou Mu Yan said without a good attitude and a smile.

She guessed that there must be very few cultivators who knew that Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su was behind Peng Ying Island, and even enemies might not know.

“Peng Ying Island was created before I established Su Immortal Palace. It was relatively secretive back then, so very few people know my identity.” Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su said with a smile.

Lou Mu Yan nodded: “No wonder you’re so free and leisurely on Peng Ying Island.”

“The journey of cultivation is extremely long, so naturally we have to find some fun.” Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su paused, then asked: “Have you decided to participate in the Purgatory Conference challenge?”

“Yes! We like this kind of excitement the most.” Lou Mu Yan didn’t hide anything, “And I heard those who win a hundred consecutive challenges can be sent to Xuan Tian Immortal Realm and have the opportunity to participate in the Hundred-Wine Banquet. We want to take advantage of this opportunity.”

“It’s good for young people to have such energy and activeness. It’s indeed a good opportunity to participate in such a banquet.”

Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su thought for a bit, then said: “Don’t return to Peng Ying Island in the next two months. Stay in Su Immortal Palace and I will personally guide you three in your cultivation. If you have any questions and confusions, you can come find me.”

He also hoped that the three most promising juniors could enter Xuan Tian Immortal Realm, and even more, participate in the Hundred-Wine Banquet of the Great Immortal Venerable Tian Xuan.

“Yes, thank you Ancestor Grandpa!” Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu both looked happy and grateful.

Although most of those on the path of cultivation comprehended and studied by oneself, but it was definitely beneficial to have someone guide them.

They happened to want to ask Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su about their own unique set of skills.

They started chatting about everything, and they had a great time conversing.

After the acknowledgement into the family, Great Immortal Venerable Ling Su announced Lou Mu Yan’s identity and often took her by his side to teach her, which almost made the old pupils of Su Immortal Palace drop their eyeballs in shock.

However, they couldn’t envy such fate.

After that, Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu didn’t return to Peng Ying Island and remained in Su Immortal Palace to speed up their cultivation and perfect their methods.

Three months passed by in the blink of an eye, and Lou Mu Lan also asked someone to sign up for the Purgatory Conference for Lou Mu Yan and Ming Xiu in the name of Peng Ying Island.

Three days later, they were summoned by the organisers of the Purgatory Arena and notified that the challenge would officially begin one month later.

Before the challenge began, Lou Mu Lan took the two of them to the Purgatory Arena to watch or participate in gambling matches to adapt to this type of challenge as soon as possible.

Note: Ahhhh, 6 more chapters~~~ The ending is pretty fast paced.

Note 2: Anyways, if people haven’t noticed already, I added two other tabs at the top of the page—which means 2 more series coming soon! Clicking on them leads to the blurb and chapter list of the two novels respectively (no chapters are up yet, but you can take a look at the summary). The ‘marry me’ series is the next work of this same author with a similar feel, but there are clear improvements in world-building on the author’s part I’d say, while the ‘pamper’ series is from a different author and a rather short and very simple read.

‘Marry me’ will be updated daily just like this series, but the length of the chapters is less than half of this series, so I’ll see how I go with timing, maybe even 2 chapters a day. Naturally there will be the typical spontaneous extra chapters whenever I’m not too busy. Meanwhile ‘Pamper’ will be every two days or so. I wrote the schedules down on the pages. I’ll see how I go with that schedule for Pamper and change it where necessary.

Monday will most likely be the last day for this series since I’ll just upload whatever remaining chapters there are left on that day! Now I suddenly feel kind of sad that this series is finishing so soon (even though I was so over it and pumped to start the new series towards the end of it HAHA). As for the new series, I haven’t decided yet when to upload their first chapters, but it’ll be before or right after this series ends.

  1. It’s always kinda sad to be done with a novel, but also a bit of a relief, since it opens up time and energy for something new.

In the end we all crave novelty in life so even stories we love can become stale, if we have too much of it, so it’s good to keep things fresh 🙂

I can imagine that this is even more true for translators, since they have to read the novels many many more times than the average reader :p
